Christina Bothwell is an experimental sculptor working primarily in cast glass whose figurative work references an interest in birth, death, and renewal while conveying a sense of wonder and hope. Playing with the translucent quality of glass, many of her works utilize a technique that allows her to render additional imagery within the forms. Bothwell comments, “I try to express more than our bodies. My ongoing interest in the spiritual infuses my work and runs parallel to the narrative I’m creating.”
