Retired architect Vicki Grant creates ceramic and mixed media works, including Windows to the Earth, incorporating beads, fossils, minerals, crystals, and found objects into carved and painted porcelain. Color and texture prevail in this ongoing series and her newest collection, making its debut this fall, Celestial Landscapes. These circular compositions can be composed into unique displays on the wall or placed on tabletops in plate stands. Inspired by a recent trip to New Zealand, Grant’s Botanical series shows her interpretations of tree forms and hand-built flowers, with a nod to her background as an architect. A few works from Grant's Woodland Harmony Series are also included. Momentum Gallery Director Jordan Ahlers and Vicki Grant have worked together for nearly 15 years.
