Winter Exhibitions at Momentum
November 16, 2023 - February 3, 2024
Momentum Gallery, in downtown Asheville, is proud to present three new exhibitions for the upcoming winter season. The opening reception will take place on Thursday,
November 16th from 5 - 8pm with several of the artists in attendance. This programming will be on display and open to the public through Saturday, February 3rd .

JOHN L. CLEAVELAND, JR.

Following two museum exhibitions and the most recent Laurel of Asheville cover artist, Momentum Gallery presents a new series of paintings from John L. Cleaveland Jr., reflecting upon his travels through Vietnamese landscapes and architecture. A
departure from his iconic scenes of American topography and foliage, join us in
celebrating the thirty-year career of John and his mastery of contemporary realism.

NOCTURNE

Momentum revisits the theme of Nocturne, an exploration into the magic of night and the mysteries that lie within it. New works from Topher Straus, Stephen Paul Day,
Christina Bothwell, and many more merge to develop a collection of enchanting works in various media. Paintings, cyanotypes, sculptures, and original prints celebrate the drama of darkness. While the world is shrouded in shadow, the moon and artificial lights define shapes emerging from darkness. Imagination picks up where detail leaves off - the potential of the unknown and unseen.

SMALL WORKS / BIG IMPACT

Momentum Gallery is pleased to announce that Small Works /Big Impact is back! An exquisite collection of museum quality works that are small in stature, but grand in content. The exhibition will feature many of our artists, including Tim Tate, Lisa Clague, Samantha Bates, Greg Sand, and many more. Our Small Works/Big Impact exhibition is the perfect opportunity to find that special holiday gift - for a loved one or for your own enjoyment!
