Brian Sostrom
The ethereal beauty of the surrounding landscape has heavily inspired Brian Sostrom’s atmospheric paintings. The works act as visual poems and convey emotional messages highlighting the magnificence of emptiness. His moody hues combined with the ambient use of color and brush strokes create dreamy and seemingly ephemeral and mysterious scenes.
"For a number of years, I had experimented with plexiglas and acrylic paint, this was once again a dramatic evolution for me. Currently I paint with translucent acrylics on a specially developed translucent substrate. I am combining techniques with unusual materials." -Brian Sostrom
