Michael Barringer

The abstract paintings and drawings of Michael Barringer are steeped in contemplation. The artist creates works as part of a series, often inspired by archaeology, anthropology, or literature. Barringer uses conte crayons, charcoal, and washes of acrylic paint to create his canvases which are light, lyrical, and layered with complexity.
