Jeannine Marchand's monochromatic sculptures are as luxurious as they are technically brilliant. Working with wet clay, the artist folds and forms each work into a unique composition. The finished product, fired and hand-sanded, is a multi-sensory experience appealing both to the eye as well as the touch.
"It is curiosity which invites me to explore memory and emotions, finding a sensual language in the lights and shadows of malleable white clay." - Jeannine Marchand
Originally from Puerto Rico, Jeannine Marchand currently lives and works near Penland, North Carolina.
