Jennifer Bueno's work combines the material of glass with satellite imagery to form groundless landscapes that shift sensorial experience. By using beauty as a device to draw attention to the rapid changes occurring on our planet, Jennifer hopes to raise awareness of our human impact on the environment.
“In 2011 I began making work inspired by satellite imagery. I see these images as a beautiful expansive view of the world. I am fascinated that raw data can be assimilated to create such an otherworldly image. They are expansive landscapes, free-floating, full of depth, with no horizon. Glass is the perfect material to portray this ineffable feeling. It has an ethereal beauty that evokes transcendence" - Jennifer Bueno
